Sitaram Kesri

President - Indian National Congress

Born on 1916, he joined the national movement when he was 13 years old and was arrested on 1930, 1933 and 1942. He became President of Bihar PCC in 1973 and treasurer of AICC in the year 1980 and minister of Parliamentary Affairs in Central Cabinet for several years unto 1996. He became President of AICC after resignation of Sri. P.V. Narasimha Rao and then elected President of AICC in 1997.
